Breaking: CNG prices hiked from Today

New Delhi: Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) on Saturday increased prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) with effect from today. CNG now costs Rs 79.56 per kg in Delhi, Rs 82.12 per kg in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and Rs.87.89 per kg in Gurugram.

“Due to increased input gas cost, w.e.f., 6 am on 17.12.2022, @IGLSocial revises CNG retail price,” the IGL informed on Twitter.

Open To Buying Oil From Anywhere: Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Friday that Russia has become a prominent crude oil supplier to India. Addressing a press conference of curtain raiser for India Energy Week 2023, Puri said, “Earlier we were buying crude oil from 29 countries, now we have 39 countries on our list. We are ready to buy from anywhere,” as quoted by news agency ANI.

“We used to buy very limited quantities of oil from Russia up to March 31, 2020, to 0.2 percent, now Russia has become a prominent supplier along with UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait,” he further added. Puri also said that Brazil and the USA are interested in the Biofuel alliance. “I could start seeing that open. Brazil has always wanted biofuels and they are the leader in terms of production,” said Puri.
