Raipur: The Chattisgarh Assembly has passed two amendment bills to hike OBC, SC quotas in admissions and Government Jobs in Chattisgarh on Friday.
Chattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said, “For OBC, reservations up to 27% in dist. EWS, which has 4% statewide reservation, 3rd & 4th grades in dist will have 4%-10% reservation based on population. A resolution passed to be added to 9th List. Provision for reservation in education also made.”
Baghel said, “Historic day for Chhattisgarh Assembly. 32% reservation for STs, 13% for SCs, 27% for OBCs & 4% for EWS was unanimously passed.Provision made in the Act that reservation will be given to SC-ST in districts, on basis of their population.”
