Rahul Gandhi Should Apologise’: Kiren Rijiju In Lok Sabha

New Delhi: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday reacted to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s comments on Manipur and sought an apology from him. Rahul Gandhi should apologise, Rijiju said. In a fierce attack on the BJP government, Rahul Gandhi tore into the government over the developments in Manipur in the wake of the ethnic clashes.

Launching an attack on the grand old party, Rijiju said that the Congress party ruled the North-East for more than seven decades and destroyed the North-East.

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi launched a full frontal attack on the BJP, saying that the BJP had not utilised the Army to its full potential, resulting the mass killings in Manipur. Speaking about the Manipur violence, Rahul Gandhi blamed the government for not being able to contain the situation.

However, Speaker Om Birla took exception to the speech and asked him to refrain from using such statements. To this Rahul Gandhi replied that he was only talking about his murder.
