Hingoli(Maharashtra): Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has slammed BJP and RSS and accused them for attacking Birsa Munda’s ideoplogy.
During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi said in Hingoli, the ideology of Birsa Munda is being attacked by RSS and BJP. There is a deep strategy of BJP behind changing the name of tribal people from ‘Adivasi’ to ‘Vanvasi’. Rahul Gandhi said, BJP has also confiscated many rights of tribals.
Bharat Jodo Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi, entered its 69th day on Tuesday and started from Hingoli in the day and reached Washim district of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.
Addressing a public meeting, Rahul Gandhi remembered and paid tribute to the brave martyr Bhagwan Birsa Munda of Jharkhand on his birth anniversary. During this, he made a big attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party and the RSS.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said, the ideology of Birsa Munda is being attacked by RSS and BJP. Birsa Munda’s ideology is being attacked by RSS & BJP. They’ve (BJP) deep strategy behind changing the name of tribal people from ‘Adivasi’ to ‘Vanvasi’, & with this, they’ve seized many rights of them.
Addressing the people, Rahul Gandhi said, BJP attacks the Constitution everyday, because it does not want to accept that Dalits, Adivasis and the poor should get rights.
Jharkhand is celebrating its foundation day on 15th November on the occasion of birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Birsa Munda. Lord Birsa was born on this day in Ulihatu village of Khunti district. On this day i.e. 15 November 2000, Jharkhand came into existence as a separate state after separating from Bihar. For the first time on Jharkhand Foundation Day, the country’s President Draupadi Murmu reached the birthplace of Lord Birsa Munda and garlanded his statue.
